A Drowning - How to destroy Angels [link]

This wonderful Song inspired me to paint this picture. More in this style to follow. (probably?)

White Nights Watercolours, a bit of Copics and Pastelpencil
Time taken: ~2.5h?

I'm sorry for the poor scan quality. The picture is slightly bigger than A4 and thus too big for my scanner. I'll probably scan this at a copyshop when I've got the time (and the money :XD:).

The most striking part of this piece is the dynamic background, which i'm sure is what you intended. However, i feel like the girl looks a little lost with the huge amount of negative space, which might also be a good think, because it gives the impression of sorrow or sadness, a little girl lost in the big wide ocean^^ The texture and the graduation of colors is gorgeous, as well as the attention to areas of light and dark. The movement in the hair and clothes is really good, which, along with the bubbles and the melancholy color scheme, help effectively portray the mood of the piece. Overall, it's a really good piece, great job! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/c/c…" width="20" height="20" alt="" title="Clap"/>
